Privacy Policy

When you make a donation or interact with the Giving Day portal, we collect information you provide directly, along with limited technical data generated by your visit. We do not collect or store your full credit card number, as payment processing is handled securely by Square.

• Name, email address, phone number, and mailing address
• Donation amount, fund category selection, and honor/memory dedication details
• Public messages, anonymous giving preferences, and donor wall/leaderboard display choices
• Device, browser, and usage data collected via cookies

We use collected information to process donations, issue tax receipts, communicate with donors, and administer fund categories and dedications you select. Aggregate and individual giving data also helps us operate the Giving Day leaderboard and donor wall and improve future campaigns.

• Sending receipts, thank-you notes, and impact updates
• Displaying public recognition as authorized by you
• Internal reporting and fundraising analysis

If you select the anonymous giving option, your name will be withheld from the public donor wall, leaderboard, and any published materials, though we retain your identity internally for receipting and legal compliance. Public messages and honor/memory dedications you submit may be displayed publicly unless you request otherwise.

• Anonymous donors are never listed by name publicly
• Dedications may name the honoree but not necessarily the donor
• You may request removal of a public message at any time

For recurring gifts, Square securely stores your payment method and processes charges according to your chosen schedule. We retain records of recurring donation status, frequency, and amount so we can manage, modify, or cancel your plan upon request.

• We do not store raw payment card data on our servers

We do not sell or rent donor information. We share information only with trusted service providers, such as Square for payment processing, and as required by law or to protect the rights and safety of the Foundation and our community.

We retain donor and transaction records for as long as needed to meet accounting, tax, and legal requirements, typically a minimum of seven years, and to maintain accurate giving history for stewardship purposes. Public wall and leaderboard entries remain visible for the duration of the Giving Day campaign and a reasonable period afterward unless removal is requested.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may opt out of future communications at any time. Texas residents and other individuals may contact us to exercise applicable privacy rights, and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

We use industry-standard safeguards, including secure hosting and Square's PCI-compliant payment processing, to protect your information, and our site uses cookies to support functionality and basic analytics.
